W830 has introduced many features. But the quality is not that classy. I used the phone for 4 months and the bluetooth is not working. Hoping that Sony gives me a replacement .

the keypad’s sensitive. I didn’t expect this from sny. All the grt features and now the keypad’s kaput!. The good thing was that, the mobile was in the warranty period and I got it repaired free of charge.

It’s a misconception that phone’s for music lovers. All the other
features such 2 mp camera, 1000 phonebook capacity, photocall, and web
are really good. The Walkman range is improving with each model it’s
bringing in the market.

I m using this phone from averagely eight months. When it was new it was rocking, I mean the sound quality was too fine and everyone liked it too much. But now no one likes to hear songs in it even I don’t like that, coz the sound quality is not as good as the new one. I m facing problem of slider in this mobile, means when I slide phone up or down it creates some sound. The battery life is gonna bad and the retailer suggested me to change the battery. Some problems are with bluetooth Ic, as they said we would have to replace it. My phone is in guarantee period now so company will replace it on free of cost. But I think I will face same problem after next 8-10 months and then I will have to pay it by myself. Other features are running well no problem with camera yet. I think I must replace it now, or I will face some problem and then there will be no other way except selling it in loss.

Now I will have to throw this cell coz of the problems and the headache. The cell simply brings one new problem every month. I have repaired six times in one year after purchasing. It all cost free coz it was in warranty period but the headache was to take it to the dealer and ask him and all that. To repair the cell he keeps cell with him for about two to three days after that go to dealer to take it and then you can use it. The battery backup is too low to use. If you are going for long tour then you will have to charge it twice a day. Because of this you cant play music and all entertainment facilities. So by my experience I would like to say you all that don’t make the mistake just like me by purchasing this cell.

This phone is nothing but the version of W850i without the 3G facility,
nothing else. I compared it my friends 850i all one to one
features. Why all such nonsense models are launched?

It’s only the style design & the looks they have concentrated, not
on the usability point of vies. The keys are so hard that if you type
10-15 messages everyday then the fingers oh sorry the thumb start
really paining.

Nice phone but why do the models are launched with such a small
difference in specs? Say w810i & w 830? I got this one as a present
so I don’t mind using it, but if I was to buy I would have gone in for
W810i at a much lower prize than this. Ridiculous.

Nice looking phone but missing important features, such as zoom,
autofocus, 3G, WLAN. I think it is a halfhearted design by SE neither
perfect for individuals nor for corporate users. The processor is quite
slow.

Overall good phone, camera quality is excellent but only if you are a
good visualizer as it doesn’t have auto focus. Can any one tell me does
it have a pdf viewer? I asked this question on many sites but no
answer. I fiddled a lot searched the SE site but couldn’t find one. The
shop says I have to buy a third party software, where do I get it?

Sexy slider, good picture quality & the sound is just out of this
