i own a WiFi Nokia 3230 which had both GPRS (Class 10) and EDGE technology. when i am online how i am supposed to know what technology i am using GPRS or EDGE?

i depends upon Nokia version to version. if u r using E65 then there's "E" sign on the network bar whereby you can know u r using EDGE. older versions like 6020 don't show the E sign and depending upon the internet speed you will know whether its GPRS or EDGE (EDGE is faster).

GPRS is a packet-based* wireless communication service. ... Limitation of GPRS is that GPRS data cannot be sent while a voice call is in progress. EDGE(Enhanced Data GSM Evolution) GPRS and EDGE are both 2G technology but EDGE is significantly faster with a download speed of up to 384Kbps.
