I hate flap phones. They are not at all strong and durable. Its in no time, that the flap has broken and you have half the phone remaining in your hand. Don’t get fooled by style .

I am confused with the facility of handwriting recognition that this phone offers. Does it accept other languages than English? I live in India and am there any model available, which recognizes Hindi language?

The phone’s camera is not of a really good worth. There are many models
with camera resolutions more than 1.3 mp. Today there are cameras,
which have camera resolution of 5 mp.

The phone supports up to 2 GB external memory, but with such bad
camera, who wants it? With such a nice design and style, if you give me
a 0.3 mp camera, I am not going to get fooled!

I really liked the copper color of the phone. It’s a change from the
regular black and white colored handsets, available in the market. I
don’t have any complaints with this phone. Really high-quality model.

1) Touchscreen, handwriting recognition
2) I can click pictures and graphically edit them
3) I can listen to music or watch a video.
4) Capacity of 1000 phone calls with photocall facility

My friend has this mobile from six months he was telling me that there is nothing good or attractive in this mobile so he wants to sell that mobile. The battery lasts only for one day and he use to charge mobile everyday. Quality of the Gray frame around the screen and the keypad wears off easily, now it looks extremely crooked and cheap. The back cover latch on mine broke coz it exposed quite a lot and just a small fall can easily break that plastic latch. Handwriting recognition is one of great features in this mobile. If they can improve the battery and do some modifications then this can be the best mobile from Sony Ericsson team.

Just too good a design but useful for slim persons only & may be
for ladies. I have thick fingers & the buttons are not popping up,
I use to make a lot of mistakes while sending SMS or emails, I had to
return it against my will. Helpless!

I facing problem with my SE 558, a brand new bought recently &
starts switching off. Sent it back for repair & was very upset, how
can it happen with a new handset? They say software problem, what do I
do? Can I get a free replacement? Just two months old it is. I begged
my friend to give his old phone to use till I get mine done by SE.

I don’t understand the basic thinking of SE behind giving a pen with
it. What can I do with it with such a small screen? Ok even if I want
to use it as touch screen I don’t think it is that effective also
drawing pics is too difficult for an artist like me, as we tend to show
a lot of details! But the other features are worth the price.

Yes,
SE is SE. I always love the unique colours they launch. I got
this one long ago & really thank my self for having purchased this
one. Mine is the Expresso Black& still the shine is intact. I am an
extensive user & make at least 40 + calls per day & also
receive those many.
