You can't install the froyo from nexus one on moto droid; it is silcifpcaley configured to the Nexus One and it just won't work, rooted or not.At first they were saying that they were going to release it for the Droid next, but now they are pushing their developing team to update ALL the Motorola Android phones to 2.1 first. Nice to know when our phones are updated that they will still be thinking of us but I want 2.2 NOW!We shouldn't have to wait more than a few months though.

It is an excellent phone from motorola. I read many reviews of this phone on internet, as per the reviews, this elegantly designed Android phone access the net with jet speed. Its call quality is clear and it comes with long talk time.
Only problem with its video and music capabilities.. they are way too behind with the latest technologies.

But looking at specs, this one looks to be most fastest Google Android handset when compared with today's Google Android phones.

Everybody’s comparing this phone to Apple iPhone for its multi-touch capability. But that’s not fair on Apple’s part who were among the first ones to introduce multi-touch. They still have some multi-touch patents registered on their name

It’s still not clear which applications will be supported by Milestone (differing from Droid). So there’s hope of voice assisted GPS navigation being a part of it. Actually Droid is the first Android based phone supporting Google maps on-board.

Moto Milestone supports pinch & zoom scrolling. However, I wonder how much better & useful it is from double tap zoom. On the other hand, is it just a marketing gimmick from Moto?

Droid has been introduced in Europe as Motorola MILESTONE with additional features of Phone Holder and Multimedia Station. But a lot of features originally present in Droid are missing like Google Maps.

Finally MOTO has risen from the ashes! Good that N900 has some competition available in DROID. For those who yet not know much about it, the phone is going to be available on Verzion Wirless and will officially arrive on Novemner 6.
