This phone is quite convenient, save for the battery stand-by time. You can get your calls from both sim cards any time, and can call or send texts from either sim. One only needs to press the selector switch on the side when you are ready with your text, or have selected/dialed the numbers you want to call, then you choose your preferred line. You can also block unwanted calls(NB: But How do you UNBLOCK? Lol).Internet browser settings also function on only one line at a time, which will be the current default line.

@ Martin, this is something new.. since you have already tried swapping the sims, for sure this is not SIM / phone problem.
Also try the same sim on some different phone if it works, then there is some fault in your phone, strait away to to Samsung service centre.

I cannot hear a caller on my SIM 2 unless I turn on the loudspeaker whereas the caller can hear me perfectly. This does not happen on SIM 1. I have swapped the sim cards and the problem still persists. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

you can receive the calls on any of the numbers though this is not a "active-dual-sim" phone. but while calling you need to choose the sim from which you want to call. think downbelow, Juma-Tanzania has explained it properly. pl have a look at the comment posted by Juma-Tanzania.

You CAN use both sim cards in same time, stop writing crap and do some research before commenting

With this phone both sim card are active at the same time for incoming calls, unlike chinese phones, you can still receive calls from the secondary sim while primary one is active.
With outgoing call process differ from phone to phone, most common you just dial number then the phone automatically gives you an option to choose the sim that you want to dial from. On c3212 by default primary sim/sim1 is used for outgoing calls. For instant dial using the secondary sim you have to do it manually, you type the number you want to dial/ retrive from phone book or call log, before pressing dial button toggle between simcards by pressing dedicated button on the right below the charging port(once to switch to sim2 twice back to sim1) then press dial button.
if you just call like any other phone sim 1 will be used.
Note: do not press sim toggle button unnecessarily this will reboot your phone and switch sim 2 to default for out going calls. For instant use of sim 2 without rebooting the phone follow the above procedure

Hi there, if you are a busy person and use your phone for 24x7 hours.. then don't go in for this phone. this phone uses standby sims. means you cannot use 2 sims at a time. in other words 2 shims cannot be active at the same time.

Cute little thingi which is slim and fits into my jeans pocket but poor samsung has not put a VGA camera? i have heard that the photo quality is average with VGA

this phone offers very good features but why Samsung has made it standby dual sim phone? its so boring to swap the cards one by one.. ie. only 1 SIM card is active at a time.. So even if the person is available, the caller won't be able to contact him. this is bad.. don't by this phone

Nice phone. I liked 2 features - Fake call feature and Bluetooth Messenger. Don't tell anyone, many a times i fool others with the help of Fake call feature.
As well, i get notified as soon as my friends are within the range, and i chit chat with them without paying a single penny using Bluetooth messenger
