From creating sportswear to mobile phones is just a little step, as Puma intends to show. The company may launch a solar panel equipped feature phone in five days at the Mobile World Congress.

A few details have become available on PumaPhone.com. Yet the website offers little information regarding the upcoming handset. In any case, the Puma Phone is “a connected lifestyle device with sport and lifestyle functionalities”, according to Know Your Mobile.  The handset will probabil come with a chat client dubbed the Puma Icon Messaging.  In addition, the phone will offer access to the Puma Community, or in other words, access to Puma on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr.

Furthermore, users will also receive sports news via Puma World and other Puma products, applications and games. The phone will probably come with high-speed internet access and GPS tracker, however, full specs are unavailable at the moment.

According to reports, the phone will be announced at the Mobile World Congress 2010 and perhaps more information will be available.
