Following the release of Nokia 6760 slide messaging device in the US, Nokia has decided to make the handset available to the European market as well. The Nokia 6760 also known as the Surge will be available in Europe in the near future.

The handset is constructed for messaging while on the move. In consequence the handset comes with a full slide out QWERTY keyboard and is perfect to keep your status up to date, your followers fed with tweets and staying in touch on IM.

The 6760 Surge sports a 2.4 inch QVGA display and features a 3.2 megapixel camera. Additionally, the handset has support for up to 8GB of storage with microSD. Users will have access to a range of popular email services, along with Mail for Exchange support, Message Reader, Google Talk and Windows Live Instant Messaging services. Additionally, users will have easy access to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.

The handset is capable of offering 5 hours talk-time and up to 500 hours standby time. The 6760 comes with A-GPS “which serves up mapping treats through 3D landmarks and terrain mapping”, writes Nokia Conversations.

The Surge or 6760 slide will be available during Q3 this year for approximately 199 euros in black, red and white.
