New Technologies Unveiled by Sony Ericsson V.J. | , 4:54 après-midi sep. 25, 2008 2008-09-25

Sony Ericsson has recently showcased a number of new of their technologies at a media event at their Lund headquarters. SE Chief of Technology Mats Lindoff says that the new features of increased processor power, improved connectivity and convergence of devices have opened the way for innovation, writes Computeractive.co.uk

A showcased technology was SE’s Capuchin project that bridges Java ME and Flash Lite technologies. This will allow Java and Flash developers to create much stronger and reliable applications.

There are a number of applications already made using Capuchin that include an FM radio tuner and a homescreen display where the icons seem to float on water, the same publication points out.

One of the main technologies presented was Sony Ericsson’s Hanasi project which is an online client that enables cell phones to connect to each other and share data, even offline.
