New information has leaked on a very special device that is currently forged by Motorola. The Motorola A1210 is most likely powered by a custom Linux platform, however, the company also announced to release mobile phones based on Windows Mobile and Android.

The A1210 is reported to target mobile phone users in China and will join the other Linux based devices that Motorola has released in the country. Although it is Linux-based, the handset comes with some very interesting features.

The handset comes with a 2.8 inch display with 240 x 400 pixel resolution and also features touchscreen capabilities. The Motorola A1210 also comes with a 3.1 megapixel camera and includes a tri-band 2.5G GSM / EDGE connectivity support.

Additionally, the handset comes with FM Radio, Bluetooth connectivity and USB slot. The handset measures about 102 x 53.8 x 20.5 mm and weights about 125 grams. At this time it seems that China is the only market to get the new Motorola A1210. However, there are no information regarding the handset’s price or availability.
