Nokia enrolled NEC, Alcatel, Sony Ericsson for a plan to forge a 4G wireless system. The firms have set up a name for the upcoming project, Long Term Evolution (LTE), this may be the competitor to Wimax which is pushed by Intel. LTE networks are being rolled out in the US and China.
