20 Bucks Phone Released in the US V.J. | , 2:22 après-midi août 14, 2008 2008-08-14

There are still circulating a vast range of entry-level mobile phone. If you can find this impossible, well, keep in mind that not everyone is using the cellphone to take pictures or listen to music and so on. Most are old fashioned and prefer a real camera and a real music player.

Anyway, Virgin Mobile USA will shortly release the new entry-level mobile phone Kyocera TNT!. The device may as well be available across the US starting now, but if you really don’t want to waste time by walking to a phone dealer, let it wait another day. What is interesting about this device is its price. A decade ago, you would buy a similar handset for $200, if not more, and now it costs 20 bucks.

When referring to the Mobile Phone Industry, one can safely say that the price also brings features. Indeed, the Kyocera TNT! is a perfect example. The device’s sole features are for talking and texting. It would be rather impossible to get a 5 megapixel camera for this price.

In any case, the device’s battery is pretty good. It will allow the user to speak continuously for about 200 minutes and in stand by the handset will keep functioning for about 5 days. The Kyocera TNT! is a clamshell that weights about 79 grams and measures 3.5 x 1.8 x 0.6 inches.

You will find the handset available for around $20 at Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Radio Shack and others and from August 20 it might be available online through Virgin Mobile website.
