Hi Sasuke,

Lg phones are generally not recommended, even if they are hi-tech. with the optimus you will have a little problem with the touchscreen as it is not so responsive. But the battery life which was a major problem for LG phones has been fixed. Other features are quite good enough. You can go for this phone.

Mohan, i don't think its phone's fault. might be something wrong while sending / receiving the message. Please ask him to send it for couple of times.. and then you can find you whats the problem is.

Hi! sorry for my english, i don't speak that language well, but i trust you understand me. So, i have a trouble with my GT540. when i am creating a short message it automaticaly becomes mms when count of symbols reaches 160. i can't compose sms which contains more than 160 symbols. is there anyone who can help me solving that problem? thanks.

Thanks for the info sheetal. but on my mistake i forgot to mention that it says that the message cannot be sent and thats it says "undelivered message: Cannot send message" After about 5 minutes of trying to send the message. Thank you again for the info but if you could maybe you could find a little out about this problem? i have tryed all around the net but still cant find any. I have tryed changing the message center in message setting but each time i press back it resets and i do not know how to apply or if it auto applysthe number i input. i am on vodafone and the message center number i have is +61415011501

Hi Tama. This should not happen coz LG GT540 Optimus’ messaging system, including E-Mail is very much up to par. This cellphone possess threaded SMS, where your Text Messages show up like a 'chat' and Without threaded SMS, you'd have to go into your inbox and outbox and manually to check each previous message individually.

Seeing as this is my first android phone I have nothing to compare it to, but IMO it is a great phone and I have found no problems as of yet. Even the touch screen is 100x better than my previous touch screen phones.

LG GT540 Optimus: Hi mae, here's how to block contacts on gt450: Settings > Scroll to Call > Select OK to enter menu > Move down to "Call Reject" > Select "Call Reject List" > Enter the number of the person you want to block and confirm
